Instructors have been chosen for
2009, please look at the classes listed
and think about something wonderful for next year...we'll be soliciting
instructors January 15th, 2010.
Thank you from all of us!
If you would like to join us teaching a class in your favorite fiber
please contact us at create@fibercollege.org or if
you are ready to apply please click here.
We are looking for classes geared toward outdoor learning, 2-4 hours in
length. Consider teaching a specific technique (cabling or textured
embroidery for example) or a class utilizing traditional crafts in new
ways.
Classes may be geared towards complete beginners or those people
who are looking to take themselves beyond to the Master's level. At
your discretion, classes may be offered in Parts 1 and 2 with time to
work independently. The Jury is happy to consider any and all possible
classes provided they are well explained and accompanied by a photo
that clearly shows the finished product or end result of technique.
Instructors will have the opportunity to showcase their work in advance
of and during the Fiber College weekend.
Fiber College, September 10-13, 2009, is a weekend to share fiber with
friends old and new, walk the beach and maybe knit by the surf or
perhaps learn a new fiber skill. The college is held on the beautiful
grounds of Searsport Shores Ocean Camping in mid coast Maine.
