It's all about doing...and
it's
more
than
classes:
it's
community,
sharing
and
evening
events.
This is a completely volunteer-driven, learning festival devoted to
introducing, maintaining and furthering tradional arts using all forms
of fiber. The professional artists who teach these classes offer
them at a reduced rate so that you can sample new vistas and share your
passions.
You're welcome to drop in and browse but encouraged to take two or
three classes and spend time in the free demonstration area.
While you are here, dawdle at the beach, soak up the atmosphere, the
passion and wonderful people who weave the sizzle into Fiber College.
The College is always held on the beautiful grounds of Searsport Shores
Ocean Campground in beautiful mid-coast Maine the weekend after Labor
Day... Come when you can. Everybody is welcome.
If you'd rather not take a class, there's a $5 fee for hanging
out the entire day....demos, beach time, vendor booths and marvelous
people.... bring your favorite hand project and come to relax.
September 9-12, 2010.
